This project includes approximately $24,900 in parts many hard to find including an older Mopar Performance siamese bore machined 426 Hemi block, original steel bell housing, A833 18 spline trans, genuine Super Stock distributor with genuine Jones Motorola tach, correct new in box Holley carbs, genuine Bendix two-piston front disk brakes, genuine Hurst shifter with lock out reverse, custom steel wheels and Team III mags, etc. This is a project offered by Mosher's Muscle Car Motors in "as is" condition, ready to continue restoration project that is currently scheduled to continue in the shop. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed Torqueflite 727 automatic transmission and an 8 ¾” Sure-Grip rear axle with a 3.55:1 gear ratio.Dodge L023 Hemi Dart clone. The oil and filter were changed in the summer of 2021. The seller notes the cooling system is unable to maintain temperature on hot days. The 528ci Hemi V8 and is equipped with two Holley four-barrel carburetors, a magnesium cross-ram intake manifold, aluminum cylinder heads, chrome valve covers, Hooker headers, and a Mopar aluminum water pump. The five-digit odometer indicates 38k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership. An additional cluster mounted in front of the shifter houses VDO gauges indicating oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a column-mounted Sun Super Tach 8k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, battery charge, and oil pressure. Interior equipment includes manually-operated windows, a radio-delete plate, LO23-style seat brackets, a 1¾” diameter roll bar, Simpson racing harnesses, a glovebox, and a Hurst shifter. The front bucket seating is trimmed in black vinyl and joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors up front. The 15″ black-painted steel wheels are fitted with BFGoodrich Silvertown red-line tires up front and MH Racemaster tires out back. The seller notes that the glass was replaced at the time of the repaint. Equipment includes a fiberglass hood secured with hood pins, a hood scoop, chrome bumpers, deleted side mirrors, and a dual-exit exhaust. The rear wheel arches were reportedly widened and mini-tubbed to accommodate the larger tires before the body was repainted under prior ownership. This Dart was acquired by the selling dealer in January 2021 and is offered with a clean Illinois title. Additional equipment consists of a cross-ram intake manifold, dual four-barrel Holley carburetors, 15″ steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a hood scoop, a column-mounted Sun Super Tach, and a Hurst shifter. The build was completed under prior ownership and reportedly included modifying the rear wheel wells, repainting the body, rebuilding the engine, replacing the glass, and installing a roll bar, bucket seats, and racing harnesses. The car is finished in white over a black vinyl interior and powered by a 528ci Hemi V8 paired with a three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission. This 1969 Dodge Dart is a two-door hardtop built as a tribute to the 1968 model year LO23 Hemi Super Stock cars produced by Dodge for NHRA Super Stock racing.
